GOG Catering is a chef-owned and operated catering company based in the Toronto area. It was founded on the principles that a great event is built around great food made with "LOVE" Beautifully presented menus and dishes featuring local food are the centerpiece of any GOG event. Using locally sourced and sustainable product whenever possible, our team will work with you to create an experience that is both personalized and seamless. Our specialty is Middle Eastern Cuisine with special blends of spices and flavors. GOG love working with our clients to draw out those details and special touches that will make your event meal or celebration memorable — a philosophy that continues to distinguish us among caterers in Toronto.

We are foodpreneurs and love everything related to food. We enjoy taking our taste buds on a ride and exploring new cuisines, flavors, ingredients and spices- it's all about elevating that taste! We have been on a journey of sharing our food creations in several countries around the world like Jordan, Dubai, Egypt finally settling in Toronto through pop-ups, events, and opening few restaurant locations. Our food passion comes from experiencing different several culinary excursions of all sorts and other fellow foodpreneurs being top ones in the world.

With some fine arts background as well, we see food as a fine balance of arts and science. We dab in modern cooking techniques only if it benefits the end result, never for show.  We both believe our cuisine is built on technique, flavour, balance, tradition, innovation and presentation.

After completing the Professional Chef’s Program at The Cambridge School of Culinary Arts, Chef Rita spent the better part of the next decade working on the retail side of culinary operations as a Chef and Team Leader for Whole Foods Market 

In an effort to connect more to the creative and inspired cooking she aspired to create as a chef, Rita was drawn to GOG Catering in the Spring of 2024  Rita is wowed daily by the delicious creations produced by GOG’s amazing team of Chefs and is honored to be able to hone her craft alongside them. ​

Chef Walid was fascinated by the energy in his parents’ kitchen during their Gourmet Dinner Club parties in the seventies, wide-eyed one night by the resourcefulness of a guest who used the kitchen sink to mix her salad.

 

Chef Walid's passion for cooking borders on obsession and his love of creating beautifully presented food has earned him the title of the food rookie Activist, by his fantastic, unparalleled team in the GOG kitchen.
